Job Description:
Our Medical Transportation Drivers play a crucial role in the AMR team by providing non-emergency transport services for patients. You may be transporting the elderly, disabled, or those who are not critically ill but need assistance to reach their healthcare appointments. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, a patient and understanding attitude, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities:
– Safely transporting patients to and from their homes to medical appointments or procedures
– Assisting patients in and out of the vehicle, including wheelchair-bound individuals
– Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families
– Thoroughly completing all necessary paperwork and patient documentation
– Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
– CPR and first aid certification
– Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Comfortable working with people of all ages, including those with disabilities or health conditions
Experience:
While experience in a healthcare or transportation setting is preferred, it is not mandatory as AMR provides comprehensive training for all new hires.
