Description:
As a School Bus Driver, you will play an integral role in operating vehicles over planned routes, transporting school-aged children safely and efficiently between school and designated bus stops. This position will involve maintaining order among students while they are on the bus, ensuring adherence to safety rules, and assisting students in getting on and off the bus when required.
Responsibilities:
– Safely transporting students to/from school and designated bus stops
– Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
– Ensuring the safety and well-being of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses
– Conducting pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
– Managing student behavior and reporting any issues to the school office
– Ensuring that the school bus is clean and well-maintained
Requirements:
– Must be at least 21 years old
– Valid drivers license for at least 3 years
– Able to pass a background check, drug test, and physical
– Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
– Ability to manage high-stress situations
Educational Qualifications:
– High School diploma or equivalent
– CDL Class B License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements (training will be provided if necessary)
Experience:
Previous experience as a bus driver is a plus, but not required.
