Job Description

As a Cabin Crew member at Southwest Airlines, you will represent our brand directly and are critical in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers. You will interact directly with Southwest passengers, making you essential to our mission of providing excellent and heartfelt hospitality.

Responsibilities

– Conduct pre-flight cabin checks.

– Greet and assist passengers, verifying tickets, and guiding them to their seats.

– Present safety instructions and perform safety demonstrations.

– Serve beverages, snacks, and sometimes meals.

– Answer passenger questions and provide assistance as necessary.

– Administer and coordinate emergency medical care as necessary.

– Ensure the cabin is clean and tidy throughout the flight.

– Implement and follow security procedures in line with company and federal regulations.

– Handle minor conflicts and issues that may arise, ensuring passenger satisfaction.

Requirements

– Minimum age of 20 years.

– High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

– Authorization to work in the United States.

– Ability to obtain a passport for international travel.

– Flexibility to work on various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for extended periods of time.

– Pass breathalyzer tests and background checks.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferences

– Previous experience in a customer service role.

– Proficiency in multiple languages is an asset.

Educational Qualifications

– A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

– Further certifications in hospitality, safety, or related fields would be advantageous but are not mandatory.

Experience

– Prior experience in the airline industry, customer service, or hospitality is desired but not required. Comprehensive training is provided to all new hires.
