Learning Disabilities Teacher - Remote | WFH
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team as an Online Special Education Teacher. In this role, you will develop and implement engaging online teaching strategies tailored to students with learning disabilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed academically. Key Responsibilities... Design and Implement Online Instruction: Create and apply effective online teaching strategies that cater to the unique needs of students with learning disabilities. Manage Digital IEPs: Develop and oversee digital Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and learning plans to support each student's educational goals. Provide Specialized Instruction: Deliver targeted instruction in core academic areas, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of students. Administer Assessments: Conduct and analyze virtual assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed. Collaborate with Educators: Work closely with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are implemented. Communicate with Families: Maintain regular, open communication with students and their families to provide updates and support. Engage in Professional Development: Participate in virtual staff meetings and professional learning communities to stay current with best practices and enhance your teaching skills.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education; Master's degree preferred. Certification: Valid teaching license with endorsement in learning disabilities. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in special education. Technical Skills: Proficiency in assistive technology and virtual learning platforms. Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a talent for differentiating instruction in an online environment.
