School Paraprofessional Job for Student Support
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Paraprofessionals for a full-time position within school districts in the Waltham, Massachusetts area. Support classroom teachers in delivering individualized instruction and implementing educational plans. Assist students with special needs in both academic and social settings. Provide one-on-one or small group support, adapting teaching methods to meet students' needs. Monitor and document student progress, communicating findings to teachers and parents. Help manage classroom behavior, promoting a positive and productive learning environment. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred. Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly with special needs students. Certification: Must meet Massachusetts Paraprofessional requirements, including one of the following: A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment. An Associates degree or higher from an accredited institution. Completion of at least two years of college coursework (48 credit hours or more). Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work well in a team, patience, and flexibility.
