You are passionate about leading digital product design and bring with your extensive knowledge in the areas of human-centered design, information architecture, and usability to create simple, useful and appealing digital products. As a Product Design Manager, you will:

  • Lead projects from inception to completion to ensure the successful creative and technical delivery of projects
  • Lead a team of staff and contract designers
  • Lead design pitches, present concepts and ideas with conviction at the management level
  • Mentor and guide design staff on project work and professional development
  • Manage your team's tasks, resources and time effectively
  • Envision and shape our end-to-end customer digital experience across all touchpoints
  • Be the connecting piece between business goals, user needs, and technical implementation
  • Identify and prioritize key improvement opportunities in our digital products through benchmarking, session replays, feedback and testing
  • Collaborate deeply with CX strategists, designers, and developers, acting as advocates for users' needs throughout the entire process
  • Lead, support and execute user testing, ensuring the product meets the business requirements and strategic goals
  • Skilled in Agile as part of an efficient and multi-disciplined delivery team and are familiar with user-centered design methodologies
  • Leverage and contribute to our UPS design system

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Management, Strategic Design and Innovation, Customer Experience and Service Design, or a comparable qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the design of complex, digital solutions, and applications
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in working with an agile team of product managers, designers and developers
  • Experience in creative methods and complex design workflows (facilitating workshops, benchmarking, low-to-high prototyping, usability walkthroughs, user testing ...)
  • Experience with design thinking and Lean UX methodologies
  • Experience in presenting to and influencing senior management
  • International experience is preferred
  • Mastery of Figma for design and prototyping is preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
