Imaging Scientist, Precision Medicine Classification: FLSA Exempt (US Only) Reports To: Associate Principal Scientist, Precision Medicine *** Seeking job applicants with good knowledge of histology, histopathology and some experience in digital pathology, not computer vision or data/AI scientists.

Summary

This is a scientific and technical position responsible for performing scientific analysis on digital pathology images, managing research projects with the ability to present key data to the stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities Performs end-to-end histo-pathology image analysis studies on projects involving Indica Labs’ clinical and life science collaborators and clients. Meets with collaborators and clients to identify study requirements, product outputs, and propose study design. Conducts image analysis and quality control tasks using Indica Lab’s suite of software, and other software packages, on digital pathology images; including image management and annotation, image analysis algorithm training and data analysis. Maintains regular status communications, where appropriate, with collaborators, clients and Indica teams throughout a study’s execution. Manages their own research, product development and validation tasks when developing AI algorithms. Prepares study reports for internal and external projects and present results, data, and findings. Maintains and manages data repositories and experimental write up in GLP compliant electronic lab books. Responsible for the appropriate accessing and handling of electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined by policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant biomedical science discipline. Two (2) years experience in image analysis and digital pathology OR two (2) years experience at Indica Labs as an Image analyst, AI. Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional results as an image analyst/scientist for Indica Labs or external party. Excellent knowledge of histology and histopathology. Authorization to work in the United States, or appropriate authorization to work in the applicant’s current home country (Indica Labs does not sponsor work visas)

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in relevant biomedical science discipline Two (2) years working experience with cancer histopathology and AI-based image analysis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to deliver presentations to small and large scientific audiences. Soft skills, with a passion for providing superior customer service Basic skills in Information Technology (IT) and network knowledge Ability to provide complex data in an easy to understand format Critical thinking skills Ability to work for extended periods of time using computer screens Location This position reports to our headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, however all work will be performed remotely in the applicant’s home state or country. Candidates currently residing within 100 miles of Albuquerque are considered for 100% in-office positions. Candidates currently residing outside of this area are considered for fully remote positions in their home state or country. The job will require some international travel.
