Payroll Time & Attendance Specialist

How will you make a difference? The Payroll Time & Attendance Specialist will be responsible the accurate and timely submission of time transactions for U.S. employees in accordance with Wabtec policies and pay practices. Maintains a high standard of quality and accuracy by being proactive in managing time transaction submissions to meet all payroll processing deadlines. Provides excellent customer service and works closely and collaboratively with HR and other cross-functional departments. The Time Partner will support process and technology improvements that result in efficiencies and increase precision across enterprise time and pay. What do we want to know about you? University degree with 4+ years of relevant U.S. Time & Attendance experience Proficiency with workforce management applications, such as UKG Pro WFM, ADP Workforce Manager, and Workday Time Prior experience in U.S. Payroll is required Workday Payroll experience is a plus Ability to support WFM activities in a complex, compliance‑driven labor environment Experience working in manufacturing and unionized environments Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment Strong multi‑tasking skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Strong organizational and time‑management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables) Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation Work Location: Remote Shift Schedule: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST What will your typical day look like? Ensure day‑to‑day time management activities are completed accurately and on time, including timecard validation and approval, balancing WFM totals, exporting time data, importing time data into Workday, processing historical corrections, approving payroll results, and supporting internal and external audit requests. Conduct routine audits of time data to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to payroll processing. Collaborate with the Payroll team on off‑cycle payments resulting from pay errors, adjustments, and termination pay. Manage HR ServiceNow tickets and email inquiries for assigned groups, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Perform reconciliations, corrections, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of time and payroll-related issues. Provide support to Associate Time Partners with time validation and approval, balancing, Workday imports, and resolving complex issues or errors. Partner with internal and external stakeholders on with impacts beyond WFM based on knowledge of HR Systems, HR Analytics, Compensation, Finance, and Internal Audit. Looks for ways to improve processes and supports department operational and transformation initiatives. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of policies, pay rules, and calculation requirements for all assigned groups Ensure pay practices and policies comply with wage and hour laws, federal and state regulations, and company policies and procedures. Participate in projects including system implementations, process improvements, and year-end activities. Perform other related duties as assigned.
