[Remote] Data Analyst

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oxenham Group is seeking a Data Analyst to gather, clean, and analyze data sets to support operations and lead data analytics projects. The role involves implementing data standards, deploying automation tools, and transforming raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data using statistical techniques and deliver clear reports
  • Filter and clean data to maintain quality and integrity
  • Design and maintain data systems and databases, including fixing coding errors and other data-related issues
  • Acquire and mine data from primary and secondary sources, then organize it into formats easily read by humans or machines
  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, with particular attention to trends and patterns valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics
  • Create presentations and reports based on findings and recommendations
  • Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, drivers, and predictions using relevant data
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, architects, and organizational leaders to identify process-improvement opportunities, recommend system modifications, and help develop data governance policies
  • Produce documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the analysis process and replicate it as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role within a professional services or consulting firm
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with SQL and database management
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data integration techniques
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines
  • AWS skills, with AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner required
  • Comfortable working with minimal direction in an environment with high ambiguity
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
