[Remote] Marketing Data Analyst

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Optomi is partnering with a leading financial services company to find a Marketing Data Analyst. This role involves bridging the technical data infrastructure with marketing strategy, ensuring marketing decisions are supported by clean data, and managing project timelines for data integration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the business use cases from our stakeholders. Source the data from the relevant platform to fulfill the use cases. Understand and perform relational data-modeling
  • Act as the custodian of the marketing data warehouse. Ensure data from various sources (CRM, Ads, Web Analytics etc.) are properly integrated and structured for consumption by the analysts and other users
  • Write and optimize database queries to develop regular and ad-hoc reports
  • Educate analysts on leveraging specific data sets to meet business objectives, including technical, hands-on instructions
  • Serve as the "connective tissue" between the Data Engineering and the Marketing Analytics teams. Define and manage project scopes, and ensure technical deliverables meet marketing business use cases and requirements and project timelines
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies between various marketing platforms and the Enterprise data warehouse

Skills

  • Strong Oracle SQL / database expertise
  • Deep understanding of Data Warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
  • Working proficiency of SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions) for data extraction and manipulation
  • Working proficiency in Marketing in general, and Marketing Analytics in specific, including attribution modeling, funnel analysis
  • Proficient in both Marketing & Sales tools and data. Tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, MS Dynamics 365, Salesforce etc
  • Working proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI
  • Strong Project Coordination skills; experience with Agile/Scrum or tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello
  • Ability to translate complex data findings into 'plain English' for non-technical marketing stakeholders
