[Remote] Quality Assurance Analyst

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Concorde, Inc is hiring a QA Analyst to join their core software development team focused on enhancing applications for compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to test software prior to release, utilizing various testing methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Design, write, and execute test cases using Zephyr (or similar test management tools)
  • Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and API layers
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Assist in maintaining and updating test documentation and regression suites
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices
  • Learn and apply test automation basics under guidance from senior team members
  • Stay curious and proactive in learning new tools, technologies, and testing techniques
  • Estimate level of effort required to test functionality as described in Scrum user stories
  • Thoroughly test completed user stories to validate that they pass the acceptance criteria
  • Follow up with (internal company) users to reproduce reported bugs and document behavior to developers

Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience in software testing or a related field
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, regression, smoke, exploratory)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A curious mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Demonstrated Understanding and interest in software quality assurance
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience designing positive and negative tests, functional tests, and integration tests
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, engineering or a related subject
  • Experience with automated testing tools a plus, but not required
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL preferred (MS SQL Server a plus)
