[Remote] Principal Sales, DoW , Dept of War Sales Team

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is focused on cloud transformation and adoption for the United States Department of War. The Principal Sales Executive will drive business relationships and opportunities, engaging with key Defense customers and partners to modernize and transform their IT strategies with AWS solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a growing book of business in the Department of War sales team
  • Drive business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, and pursue key opportunities
  • Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the AWS partner community
  • Have day-to-day interactions with key strategic partners, DIB partners and emerging tech partners
  • Have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at senior military and civilian levels
  • Have a technical background that enables them to easily interact with partners, staff officers, contracting officials, software developers, and architects
  • Have experience thinking strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions
  • Help identify key strategies for growth that apply across the Defense and Intelligence business areas
  • Be able to travel as necessary

Skills

  • 15+ years of IT sales experience
  • 10+ years of technology sales experience
  • Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
  • Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or above, or 5+ years of equivalent experience
  • 10+ years working with Systems Integrators and/or technology partners supporting the DoW
  • 10+ years experience working with Federal Systems Integrators and Business Partners supporting the DoD
  • This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen
  • US government security clearance of top secret or above
  • 8+ years of enterprise scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects in a related industry experience
  • Master's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Master's degree and 5+ years of professional or military experience
