[Remote] Consultant - Senior Power Platform Security Engineer

Remote role Full-time Open position

They are seeking a Senior Power Platform Security Engineer to enhance governance, security, and operational maturity within a Fortune 100 organization’s Power Platform environment, focusing on designing governance controls and improving security outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement governance controls across Power Platform environments
  • Develop and maintain remediation playbooks aligned with enterprise security requirements
  • Identify security, compliance, and governance gaps and drive remediation efforts
  • Support onboarding and operationalization of new security controls
  • Improve visibility into platform security posture through reporting, dashboards, and governance metrics
  • Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, REST APIs, Power Platform Admin APIs, Microsoft Graph, and related technologies
  • Develop tooling to reduce manual governance and compliance activities
  • Create scalable workflows for policy enforcement, monitoring, remediation, and reporting
  • Support secure-by-default deployment and operational governance practices
  • Partner with security, engineering, compliance, and platform operations teams
  • Translate business and security objectives into actionable technical solutions
  • Facilitate discussions, make recommendations, and help drive decisions
  • Communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Help establish repeatable governance processes and operating models
  • Reduce dependency on tribal knowledge through documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability
  • Contribute to long-term governance and risk reduction strategies

Skills

  • 5+ years administering and securing Microsoft Power Platform environments in enterprise organizations
  • Experience designing and implementing governance programs for Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, or related Microsoft platforms
  • Strong understanding of: Power Platform Administration, Power BI Administration, Environment Strategy & Governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Policies, Tenant Administration, Identity and Access Management, Security and Compliance Controls
  • Experience developing automation using: PowerShell, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform Admin APIs
  • Experience implementing governance, remediation, and compliance workflows
  • Experience working directly with technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous and evolving environments
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Zenity or similar low-code/no-code security platforms
  • Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE)
  • Defender for Cloud Apps
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Dataverse security architecture
  • Enterprise governance and remediation reporting
  • Fortune 500 or large enterprise environments
  • Security engineering, GRC, or compliance programs
