[Remote] Head of Business Development
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Confidential company is seeking a Head of Business Development to support the organization’s growth strategy by identifying, developing, and executing business development opportunities. This role will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and aligning commercial opportunities with strategic priorities through market analysis and relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of business development strategies aligned with enterprise strategy and growth priorities
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics
- Contribute to development of business cases, forecasts, and performance metrics to support strategic decision‑making
- Support preparation of proposals, presentations, and materials for potential partnerships and initiatives
- Identify, evaluate, and advance new business opportunities within the BioPharma and Research markets
- Support development and execution of sales and market entry strategies to drive revenue growth
- Partner with internal teams to align product and service offerings with market needs and strategic direction
- Contribute to achievement of revenue targets and key performance indicators
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders
- Support negotiation and execution of commercial agreements and partnerships
- Engage stakeholders to understand client needs and align solutions accordingly
- Partner with strategy, sales, marketing, operations, legal, and finance teams to ensure coordinated execution of business initiatives
- Support project management of key initiatives, ensuring progress against timelines and objectives
- Facilitate cross‑functional alignment to address dependencies, risks, and execution challenges
- Support development of reports and updates on business development activities, performance metrics, and market insights
- Utilize data and analytics to inform decision‑making and improve effectiveness of business development efforts
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or related disciplines, including leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting revenue growth initiatives and strategic partnerships
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proven ability to build relationships and work cross‑functionally to achieve business outcomes
- Experience operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline)
- Experience in healthcare, or life sciences industries
- Experience developing proposals, negotiating agreements, and supporting commercial transactions
- Experience working with CRM and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau)
- Experience leading or supporting high‑performing teams
