You will partner closely with technical sales teams, product managers, and engineering specialists to showcase arenaflex Cloud’s capabilities, design robust data solutions, and guide customers through the entire data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to governance and visualization.

  • Remote locations: Anywhere within the United States.

Role Overview

As an Enterprise Customer Engineer – Data Analytics, you will act as the technical bridge between arenaflex Cloud’s product portfolio and the business objectives of our enterprise customers. You will:

  • Collaborate with sales and solution architects to identify and qualify data‑driven business opportunities across North America.
  • Present technical concepts, proofs of concept (POCs), and solution roadmaps to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Design, prototype, and optimize data architectures that leverage arenaflex Cloud’s analytics, warehousing, and streaming services.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance for data migrations, ETL/ELT pipelines, and performance tuning to ensure seamless adoption of arenaflex solutions.
  • Influence product strategy by feeding customer insights back to product management and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Solution Design

  • Conduct comprehensive technical discovery sessions to capture business requirements, data governance policies, and performance expectations.
  • Architect end‑to‑end data solutions—including data lakes, warehouses, real‑time streaming pipelines, and analytics dashboards—tailored to each customer’s unique environment.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales messaging, whitepapers, and product demonstrations that highlight arenaflex Cloud’s value proposition.
  • Lead POC initiatives, troubleshoot technical roadblocks, and provide expert guidance on database migrations, schema design, and query optimization.

Collaboration & Advocacy

  • Partner with technical sales teams to craft winning bid responses, solution briefs, and request‑for‑information (RFI) replies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, advocating for best‑in‑class data practices and helping them navigate complex cloud adoption journeys.
  • Work closely with product management to prioritize feature enhancements, report bugs, and shape the roadmap based on real‑world usage patterns.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the North America Technical Team to elevate collective expertise.

Technical Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with emerging trends in big data, cloud-native architectures, and AI‑enabled analytics.
  • Continuously refine and automate internal processes for data migration, performance testing, and cost optimization.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, case studies, and training materials that empower sales and engineering colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud‑native architectures in a customer‑facing or technical support role.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage with technical audiences and senior executives, delivering clear, persuasive presentations.
  • Big Data Expertise: Demonstrated experience with analytics warehousing, data processing, transformation, governance, migrations, ETL/ELT, SQL, NoSQL, and performance or scalability optimizations—including both batch and streaming paradigms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in technical sales or consulting focused on cloud computing, data analytics, or big data solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of architecture design, schema modeling, and query optimization for distributed, scalable systems.
  • Understanding of the broader cloud market, including infrastructure, storage, platform services, and customer buying behaviors.
  • Hands‑on experience building data warehouses, data lakes, real‑time event processing pipelines, and data visualization solutions on cloud‑native platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex customer requirements into clear technical designs and implementation roadmaps.

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of arenaflex Cloud services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc), as well as open‑source tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset, capable of diagnosing performance bottlenecks and recommending optimizations.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Team‑oriented attitude, comfortable working across sales, product, engineering, and customer success functions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high‑quality outcomes under tight timelines.

Compensation, Perks, & Benefits

  • A base salary range of $159,000 – $239,000, calibrated for role, level, and location.
