Why This Role Matters

As a Retail Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you are the front‑line ambassador of our brand. You will guide customers through the entire lifecycle of their projects—whether they need a simple document printed, a custom sign designed, or a parcel shipped securely. Your consultative expertise will ensure each visitor leaves the store confident, satisfied, and eager to return. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a blend of customer interaction, technical operation, and hands‑on problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Consultation: Greet every customer with a friendly, professional demeanor; actively listen to understand their unique needs; and recommend tailored arenaflex products and services that best address those needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain deep familiarity with arenaflex’s print, sign, graphics, and shipping offerings, staying current on new services, promotions, and equipment capabilities.
  • Order Management: Accurately capture complex orders using arenaflex’s order‑entry system, provide precise pricing, and ensure all specifications are documented for production.
  • Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot a wide range of printing, binding, and finishing equipment; handle customer‑supplied media and ensure high‑quality output.
  • Packaging & Shipping: Assemble parcels, apply appropriate protective materials, weigh packages, generate shipping labels, and process shipments through arenaflex’s logistics channels.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the retail environment clean, organized, and safe; restock supplies, perform routine equipment maintenance, and ensure displays are attractive and up‑to‑date.
  • Financial Transactions: Process sales using the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, handle cash, make change, and complete end‑of‑day financial paperwork, including sales reconciliation and bank deposits.
  • Team Collaboration: Support fellow associates by sharing knowledge, assisting with training of new hires, and stepping in to cover shifts or tasks as needed.
  • Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns promptly, escalating when necessary, and ensure every issue is resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance the overall customer experience; contribute ideas to arenaflex management.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a retail, customer‑service, or print‑shop environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information in clear, layman’s terms.
  • Physical ability to stand for the duration of a shift, lift up to 55 lb, and perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of reliability—consistent attendance, punctuality, and adherence to scheduled work hours.
  • Comfort with operating a variety of retail and production equipment; willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with print production software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software) or shipping platforms.
  • Certification in customer service excellence or retail management.
  • Experience handling confidential documents and sensitive customer data.
  • Demonstrated initiative in process improvement or cost‑saving projects.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s suite of services or similar industry offerings.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Consultative Selling: Ability to ask probing questions, listen actively, and recommend solutions that align with customer goals.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfort with operating printers, binders, cutters, and packaging equipment; quick to troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage multiple orders, prioritize tasks, and keep the work area orderly.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset, willingness to assist colleagues, and openness to feedback.
  • Problem‑Solving: Resourceful in addressing unexpected challenges, from equipment downtime to complex customer requests.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Respect for customer privacy and strict adherence to data‑protection standards.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive amid changing priorities, new product launches, and seasonal demand spikes.
