Blockchain Developer - Decentralized Finance

Our client, a pioneering firm at the forefront of blockchain innovation, is seeking a talented Blockchain Developer specializing in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) to join their ambitious team in New York City, New York, US . This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of finance by designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and secure decentralized applications (dApps). You will be instrumental in building cutting-edge financial protocols and smart contracts on leading blockchain platforms.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts and dApps using Solidity and other relevant smart contract languages (e.g., Vyper, Rust for Solana). Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that interact with blockchain networks. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new DeFi features and products. Research and stay abreast of the latest advancements in blockchain technology, DeFi trends, and security best practices. Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency and performance. Implement robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for smart contracts and dApps. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. Contribute to architectural decisions and technology stack choices. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the entire technology stack. Engage with the broader blockchain and DeFi community, contributing to open-source projects where applicable.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2+ years of professional experience in blockchain development. Proven expertise in Solidity and smart contract development for Ethereum or other EVM-compatible chains. Strong understanding of DeFi protocols, mechanisms (e.g., AMMs, lending protocols, yield farming), and economic models. Experience with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries for interacting with blockchain networks. Familiarity with blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and security considerations. Experience with backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) and database technologies. Proficiency in testing frameworks like Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. A passion for decentralized technologies and a proactive attitude towards learning.
