As a HR Business Partner, you’ll help carry this mission forward and make a meaningful impact every day. How Your Role Makes a Difference Lead and demonstrate behaviors that align with Bethany’s mission and values; Plan, develop, and implement initiatives in close partnership with all levels of branch leadership to drive workforce engagement and enhanced solutions for employees; Closely collaborate with Branch leadership at all levels to plan, develop, and implement workforce engagement initiatives and improved solutions for employees; Utilize deep business understanding and analytical skills to identify and diagnose issues, offer insights, and develop proactive solutions for pressing business objectives through a peoplecentric approach, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data; Use data to measure if core behaviors and mindsets are embodied and actively fostered by leaders to create an inclusive and thriving environment; Provide insight and feedback to business leaders, representing both the voice of employees and the organization; Ensure compliance with internal human resource policies and practices, and with relevant labor and employment legislation; Support all levels of branch management through performance coaching management and improvement to assist in the creation and follow up of action plans around improving employee engagement and satisfaction; Drive an employee-centric mindset across the business; Advise, mentor and guide branch leaders and supervisors to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skills; Conduct roundtables on employee sentiment and related engagement topics within assigned business group; Design, collect, and analyze data to identify trends and potential risk areas associated with organizational surveys and assessments; Effectively collaborate with the HR team, Employee Relations Investigator, Legal and business leaders to facilitate prompt responses to employee feedback; Collaborate with the HR team and leadership to analyze, diagnose, design, and revise people programs, policies, and practices that sustain positive employee engagement; Drive fair and transparent responses to employee engagement matters; Managing the oversight of compliance and timecard record keeping in accordance with applicable laws and internal requirements; Effectively partner with the ER Investigator on workplace investigation needs; Work collaboratively with supervisory level staff to ensure effective performance coaching plans are administered to employees to include performance improvement plans; Conduct review and trend analysis on incoming exit interview data, provide quarterly reporting to VP of HR Operations, and escalate concerns appropriately Ensures all performance goal setting is done in an achievable and timely manner; Maintains and cultivates positive working relationships with all levels of staff; Participates in or manages projects, as needed; Stay abreast of all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to employment law; Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department; Participate in, and when appropriate or requested, lead prayer, devotionals, and other faith-centered team practices that support and reflect Bethany’s Christian mission and culture; Reflect Christ through conduct consistent with Bethany’s Statement of Faith and Belief, mission, and values with colleagues, clients, volunteers, church partners, donors, and community; May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event; Complete other duties as assigned. What Will Make You Successful Bachelor’s level degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college with at least four (4) years of progressive Human Resources experience in employee relations (or) Master’s level degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college with at least two (2) years of progressive Human Resources experience in employee relations; Human Resources Certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR), strongly preferred; Prior experience supporting business leaders, and driving employee engagement activities in a complex, organizational structure; Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws; Highly motivated and self-managed; Demonstrated consultative and cultivating strong relationship skills across various partners and levels within an organization; Possess strong project management skills to ensure engagement of stakeholders and timely execution of critical change management initiatives; Must possess a strong attention to detail with exception problem solving and analytical skills; Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated data analysis skills with an ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative data that enables informed decision making; Exercise a high level of confidentiality; Work well under pressure and adaptable to change; Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and HRIS systems (UltiPro preferred); Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany; Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage; Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; Agree with, adhere to, and sign Bethany’s Statement of Faith and Belief.
