Position Overview – Remote, Flexible, Impactful
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our high‑volume Claims Inquiry/Claims Research team. This fully remote role serves members, providers, and plan sponsors across the United States, with a focus on the Eastern, Central, and Pacific time zones (EST, CST, PST). Your day‑to‑day will involve answering inbound calls, resolving complex claims questions, and guiding providers through self‑service tools—all while embodying arenaflex’s “Heart at Work” behaviors.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound provider calls, letters, and electronic messages with professionalism and empathy.
- Conduct thorough claims research across multiple platforms to clarify payment questions, eligibility, and coverage details.
- Triage complex issues and route re‑work to the appropriate internal teams, ensuring swift resolution.
- Provide proactive information—such as plan benefits, self‑service options, and member rights—to address unasked questions.
- Utilize the customer‑service threshold framework to make informed financial decisions that resolve member and provider concerns.
- Process claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, grievances, and appeals using the target system.
- Educate providers on self‑service portals, credentialing, re‑credentialing, and contracting processes.
- Assist in compiling claim data for audits, verifying medical necessity, coverage provisions, and member eligibility.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions in the CRM system to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to a flexible schedule that spans 7 am – 7 pm local time, allowing you to balance personal commitments while meeting business needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and the ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously while on a call.
- Demonstrated experience in a high‑transaction call‑center environment, preferably within health‑care or insurance.
