Role Overview – Driver Onboarding Specialist / Data Entry Clerk

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated Driver Onboarding Specialist who will also serve as a Data Entry Clerk. In this dual‑focused role, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective delivery professionals, guiding them from initial application through activation. You will review critical documentation, conduct virtual safety inspections, and maintain meticulous records in our proprietary onboarding system. Your work will directly impact the speed and quality of driver activation, ensuring that our marketplace remains stocked with qualified, safety‑compliant partners.

This position is full‑time (minimum 40 hours per week) and may include evenings, nights, and weekends to accommodate the 24/7 nature of the gig‑economy. You will have the flexibility to work from arenaflex’s vibrant San Diego office or remotely from any of the preferred U.S. states listed below, provided you have a reliable internet connection, a computer, and a smartphone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Review & Eligibility Verification: Scrutinize driver applications, insurance policies, and vehicle registration documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with arenaxflex’s standards.
  • Virtual Vehicle Safety Inspections: Conduct live, video‑based safety checks with driver‑applicants, guiding them through each step and providing immediate feedback. Training on inspection protocols will be provided.
  • Candidate Communication: Maintain proactive, courteous, and timely communication with applicants via text, chat, and email, updating them on their application status and next steps.
  • Background Check Coordination: Initiate and track pre‑employment background checks using arenaflex’s internal software, ensuring that all required checks are completed before activation.
  • Data Management & Entry: Accurately input applicant information into the onboarding platform, guaranteeing data integrity and facilitating seamless reporting for internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks or recurring issues in the onboarding workflow and propose actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and applicant experience.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with the HR, compliance, and driver support teams to resolve escalated issues, share insights, and align on policy updates.

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a role that involved recruiting, onboarding, data entry, HR, or customer service—particularly within gig‑app or on‑demand service environments.
