Role Overview

The Remote Customer Care NDT Specialist is a Level 3 position that blends technical expertise with exceptional customer service. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through complex NDT procedures, interpreting inspection results, and delivering training that meets NADCAP and industry standards. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location within the continental United States, with a particular focus on candidates residing in Michigan, South Carolina, Ohio, and Connecticut.

While a traditional four‑year degree is not required, you must possess a solid foundation in NDT principles, hold a valid Level 3 certification, and demonstrate a passion for delivering high‑quality support to our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation: Act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking Level 3 NDT guidance, answering technical queries, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Technical Review & Documentation: Conduct thorough NADCAP reviews, prepare detailed inspection reports, and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and client standards.
  • Training Delivery: Design and deliver remote instructional courses, webinars, and on‑site workshops that educate client personnel on advanced NDT techniques and safety protocols.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose complex inspection challenges, propose corrective actions, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce adherence to ASNT, NAS410, and other relevant standards, maintaining the highest level of inspection integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best‑practice guidelines, process enhancements, and knowledge‑base articles that elevate arenaflex’s service offering.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with FAA, EASA, and other aviation authority requirements, as well as client‑specific safety programs.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal engineers, project managers, and sales teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid Level 3 NDT certification (e.g., ASNT Level III, NAS410 Level III) with a minimum of three (3) years of hands‑on experience performing Level 3 duties.
  • High school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is not mandatory but may be considered an asset.
  • U.S. work authorization – no visa sponsorship is available for this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, client‑friendly language.
  • Proficiency in using NDT software tools, inspection reporting platforms, and remote collaboration technologies (e.g., Zoom, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Certifications

  • Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry, particularly with OEMs such as Honeywell, Rolls‑Royce, or Pratt & Whitney.
  • Additional certifications such as ASNT, NAS410, or OEM‑specific endorsements.
  • Prior experience delivering remote training or instructional courses to technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard inspection equipment (ultrasonic, radiographic, eddy‑current, PT, MT, etc.).
  • Proven track record of supporting NADCAP audits and preparing clients for successful certification.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of NDT methods, standards, and best practices.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Ability to anticipate client needs, respond promptly, and build lasting relationships.
  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled at interpreting complex data sets and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Instructional Ability: Comfortable designing curriculum, facilitating learning, and assessing participant progress.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fully remote environment, managing time zones, and adjusting to evolving project demands.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams, sharing knowledge and supporting collective goals.
  • Integrity & Compliance: Commitment to upholding safety standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical conduct.
