[Remote] Senior Business Development Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. mavn creators is seeking an experienced sales and partnerships professional to drive revenue growth and expand their brand partnership portfolio. The role involves owning the full sales cycle, generating new business opportunities, and collaborating with leadership to refine strategies and expand mavn’s presence across new industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute outbound sales strategies to generate new business opportunities
  • Identify, prospect, and engage brand marketers, partnership teams, agencies, and decision-makers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, renewals, and expanded partnerships
  • Collaborate with leadership on pricing, packaging, proposals, and partnership strategy
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting
  • Represent mavn at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify new revenue opportunities
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of sales processes, systems, and best practices

Skills

  • 5–7+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or account management
  • Proven ability to independently source, develop, and close net-new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship-building
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing a sales pipeline from prospecting and outreach through negotiation and close
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills
  • Ability to build and maintain senior-level client relationships
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing, creator partnerships, experiential marketing, sponsorships, media, or digital campaigns
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently
  • Existing relationships within brand marketing, partnerships, media, hospitality, entertainment, sports, or agency ecosystems are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Experience selling into brand marketing teams and decision-makers
  • Comfortable working within an early-stage, high-growth company environment
  • Passion for the creator economy, influencer marketing, events, entertainment, and emerging media
  • Strategic thinker capable of identifying opportunities beyond immediate sales conversations
  • Excited to help shape and scale a growing revenue function
