[Remote] Analyst, Revenue Cycle Management
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cardinal Health is a healthcare services and products company, and they are seeking an Analyst for their Revenue Cycle Management team. The role focuses on managing clinical and administrative processes related to billing and collecting patient service revenue, including submitting claims, researching denied claims, and ensuring accurate insurance payments.
Responsibilities
- Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
- Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
- Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
- Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
- Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
- Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
Skills
- HS, GED, bachelor's degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred
- 2 + years' experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment
- Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
- Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred
