[Remote] Operations Manager, Community
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Taste Labs is building the data and infrastructure layer for taste, aiming to improve AI's creative judgment. They are seeking an Operations Manager for Community to build and manage supply chain operations for a curated expert network, ensuring data cleanliness and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- You keep supply data current. Who we have, what they're good at, where they sit in the tier model, whether they're available
- You publish the weekly funnel numbers: apps → portfolio yes → tested → passed → contracted → staffed
- You run onboarding mechanics. Schedule sessions, chase stalls, move experts through the steps, flag single-person bottlenecks before they cost a week
- You run reactivation campaigns. Send the sequences, track replies and bookings, route conversations to the right person, report what converted
- You run bridging. The between-project touchpoints that keep experts engaged and warm, on the cadence the Lead sets, so starts are fast and retention holds
Skills
- Experience in building systems that others use, not just executing within existing systems
- Ability to work without needing permission and align with others who do not report directly to you
- Comfort in ambiguity and ability to design workflows on the fly
- Demonstrated taste in a relevant field, with the ability to engage with experts who have strong taste
- Experience as ops or production coordinators at design-first agencies, studios, or production companies
- Experience as talent coordinators at agencies, casting operations, or fellowship and residency programs
- Experience in marketplace or community ops where supply quality was prioritized over supply volume
- Experience as program coordinators who ran cohorts, bootcamps, or apprenticeships end to end
- Experience as ops generalists or EAs at fast companies who built widely used trackers
- Experience as freelance producers managing complex projects without authority
Benefits
- Scoped, steady contract work with a clear owner and a clear bar.
- A vendor-grade toolkit (Airtable, Notion, mail tools) and the budget to use it.
- A network of 1,000+ working designers who will know you by name. If the seat grows, you grow with it.
