[Remote] DevOps Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ClassWallet, a leading financial technology company in the United States, is seeking to hire a DevOps Engineer to join their team. This role involves optimizing cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and ensuring system visibility while adhering to compliance standards for government partners.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the continuous evolution of our AWS environments, optimize our GitHub-centric deployment lifecycles, and build a proactive observability culture
  • Work as a high-impact peer to our Engineering and Security teams, ensuring our platform remains highly available, performant, and reliable for our government partners while strictly adhering to federal and state compliance standards
  • Implement a highly resilient, automated AWS architecture and refine our infrastructure baselines
  • Transform our CI/CD processes into a frictionless, automated engine by optimizing our GitHub Actions pipelines
  • Shift our monitoring posture from reactive troubleshooting to proactive observability

Skills

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience designing, building, and managing complex Cloud systems (AWS), ideally within FinTech, government, or similarly regulated, high-availability environments
  • Hands-on experience building, managing, and automating infrastructure that adheres to strict government-level security standards, specifically GovRAMP and FedRAMP
  • Experience partnering with security teams to maintain SOC2 Type 2 compliance is essential
  • Expert-level proficiency in AWS architecture and services (e.g., EKS/ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route53)
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in GitHub, GitHub Actions, and advanced deployment strategies
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing modern observability stacks (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning, scaling, and compliance auditing of environments reliably and consistently
  • Strong understanding of supporting Node-based systems and modern web applications within containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven ability to create and maintain stringent, audit-ready documentation
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to foster a culture of end-to-end accountability among Engineering teams
