[Remote] Consultant I - Cybersecurity Consulting

The Cybersecurity Consultant will support U.S. Federal customers by ensuring compliance with security requirements and managing security standards through technical execution and administrative coordination.
Responsibilities
- Tactfully and courteously interface with customers in order to build strong relationships
- Coordinate activities to ensure compliance to all contractual requirements
- Apply security updates including patching, custom GPO’s and creating/running scripts
- Perform remediation and mitigation planning and implementation
- Prepare documentation and artifacts for customers as required
- Analyze and document events in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrate a self-starter mindset, assuming responsibility and remaining adaptive, flexible, and resourceful in a results-oriented environment
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently using strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Skills
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
- Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s)
- Bachelors degree OR 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Cybersecurity, Information Systems, LMR, Radio Communications, Motorola equipment, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking Equipment, IP Networking, Solutions Architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or Military experience
- Strong knowledge of IT Systems including Windows and UNIX platforms
- Solid experience with Information Technology Systems, communication networks, and network security concepts
- Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies
- Knowledge of firewalls and router access control lists
- Familiarity with DoD auditing and scanning techniques
- Possesses relevant technical or cyber certifications (preferred): Security+, Network+, CISM, etc
- Preferred location: San Diego (Southern California, West Coast, Western US)
- Scripting experience is a plus
- RF experience and/or knowledge is a plus
