[Remote] Senior Analyst - Data Driven Detroit

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Non-Profit Personnel Network is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join Data Driven Detroit (D3) as a Project Lead. The role involves managing large-scale data initiatives aimed at improving access to information for nonprofits in Metro Detroit, with responsibilities including analytical research and strategic coordination with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of larger-scale, multi-year projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders
  • Conduct analysis and research to support identified partner and stakeholder needs
  • Coordinate tasks with D3’s internal workflow team
  • Participate in outreach and engagement programs
  • Help produce data products that improve the quality of life for residents across Detroit and the region

Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in community research, data analysis, urban planning, public policy, public health, education, or a related field
  • 3+ years leading complex research projects with long-term deliverables across multiple subject areas
  • Experience managing relationships on larger initiatives with multiple external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel or other statistical software (R, SPSS, etc.)
  • Experience with survey sampling methods, survey design, and survey data analysis
  • Working understanding of qualitative research processes, including research design strategies, focus groups, and/or fieldwork methods
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Able to move flexibly between analytical and relationship-centered work based on project needs
  • Able to manage individual deadlines and tasks as part of a project team
  • Curious about data and answering questions
  • Able to work effectively with people across racial, cultural, gender, and other identity characteristic differences
  • Lived experience and/or service that provides perspectives that support D3 in our mission, especially in serving populations that are under-represented in society at large
