[Remote] Vice President, Palladian Partners (Contingent, 75% Appointment)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Altarum is a nonprofit organization focused on improving health outcomes for disenfranchised populations. They are seeking a Vice President to lead client relationships and integrated accounts within the Palladian Partners team, driving growth and innovative solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Strive for a deliberative, results-oriented, transparent and mission-driven workplace
  • Work together with senior leaders to retain and grow current clients, attract new clients, and expand capabilities and offerings
  • Build and nurture client relationships by providing team leadership and strategic guidance to clients
  • Develop appropriate strategies for the best possible outcome for clients and the firm
  • Lead proposals, bids, extensions and recompetes, and help ensure market-appropriate and competitive proposal design and pricing
  • Apply a growth mindset to cross-enterprise collaboration with other Altarum operating divisions
  • Maintain a strong grasp on market environmental conditions, pricing strategies, and technological advancements
  • Build and develop talent to drive the future success of the organization
  • Strategically recruit, hire, and develop people and teams, to include coaching Account Directors on growth and client relations
  • Provide oversight and quality control for all client accounts in their portfolio
  • Support growth, productivity, and impact in measurable, tangible ways
  • Ensure individual portfolio accounts are profitable and sustainable
  • Develop and execute innovative and creative solutions for account teams
  • Coordinate with Account Directors in their contract-level performance, budget and management, and risk review and mitigation efforts
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction across the portfolio
  • Interact with corporate support functions in finance, legal, contracts, marketing and communications, and others to respond to and manage data calls, contract issues, and thought leadership initiatives

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, or related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant technical experience; health focus strongly preferred
  • Experience managing large, complex teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team and with key stakeholders and clients
  • Action-oriented, organized, proactive, and adaptable approach
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to customer service
  • Experience in federal contracting rules and standards
  • Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available
  • All work must be performed within the continental U.S. for the duration of employment, unless required by contract
  • Ability to work core hours aligned with Eastern Time, unless otherwise approved by your manager
  • Remote employees must maintain a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace free from distractions, with reliable internet and a mobile device that supports efficient work
  • Because this role supports federal clients, you'll need to complete a federal background investigation to determine your suitability for federal employment
  • You may also be required to obtain an HHS Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Badge in addition to Palladian's standard background process
  • Prior communications firm and/or government or government consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. is a plus
