[Remote] Business Development Specialist

Remote role Full-time Open position

They are seeking a Business Development Specialist who will work closely with the COO, focusing on revenue development, managing sales pipelines, and executing strategic projects aligned with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own follow-up and pipeline progression on warm leads assigned by or identified in collaboration with the COO
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, and phone into Healthcare and Supply Chain target accounts
  • Nurture prospect relationships through the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through discovery, proposal, and close
  • Schedule and coordinate introductory calls, discovery meetings, and product demonstrations on behalf of the COO
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, logging all activity, updating pipeline stages, and flagging stalled deals
  • Assist with proposal generation, quote coordination, and deal follow-through with Sales and Operations
  • Research target accounts and maintain accurate prospect intelligence to support account-based outreach
  • Track KCI progress and proactively surface pipeline opportunities and risks to the COO
  • Partner with the COO to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact cross-functional initiatives aligned with company goals
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables, tracking progress, managing risks, and driving accountability across teams
  • Act as an extension of the COO to follow up on key priorities, action items, and internal commitments
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and dashboards to support COO decision-making
  • Monitor KPIs and provide operational insights to improve performance across business functions
  • Facilitate cross-departmental meetings, document action items, and ensure follow-through
  • Conduct research, analysis, and business case development to support strategic initiatives
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions during periods of change or growth
  • Engage hospitals, health systems, clinical engineering teams, and enterprise IT groups
  • Understand and communicate workflow challenges in mobile device management, fleet charging, cart integration, and clinical mobility
  • Develop relationships with procurement, clinical operations, and IT decision-makers
  • Target warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, and fulfillment organizations
  • Position JAR Systems solutions around operational efficiency, workforce mobility, and infrastructure scalability
  • Support COO in expanding footprint within existing supply chain accounts and emerging verticals

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales development, business development, project management, or a similar hybrid role
  • Proven ability to manage outbound prospecting activity and move opportunities through a sales pipeline
  • Strong project management skills: comfortable owning timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with high professional polish
  • Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and accountable
  • Able to operate independently and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience selling technology, mobility, healthcare IT, charging solutions, or supply chain infrastructure
  • Prior experience supporting C-suite executives in a chief of staff, special projects, or executive operations capacity
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outbound prospecting tools
  • Data analysis skills (Excel, or BI tools) to support reporting and KPI tracking
  • Trade show coordination and channel partner support experience
  • MBA a plus but not required
