[Remote] Associate Actuary, Analytics and Forecasting

The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting role involves analyzing and forecasting financial data to support strategic decisions, ensuring data integrity, and developing complex reserving models using advanced analytics and cloud technology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions
• Establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence
• Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position
• Ensure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data
• Develop, build, and continuously improve complex reserving models leveraging cloud-based technology and advanced analytics
• Play a key role in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud-based reserving model
• Leverage tools such as Databricks and Power BI to build, automate, and optimize reporting processes
• Conduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for improving reserve accuracy, translating findings into actionable enhancements to the reserve model

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree
• Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
• Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms
• Strong technology skills
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and continuously improve complex models
• Demonstrated self-starter and problem solver
• Proficient with SAS/SQL
• Experience with Databricks or Power BI
• Experience developing and applying predictive models
