[Remote] Sr. Dashboard Developer (Medicare/Medicaid)

General Dynamics Information Technology is a global technology and professional services company that delivers consulting and technology services to U.S. government agencies. They are seeking a Dashboard Developer to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by designing and maintaining interactive dashboards that provide insights into fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards that provide meaningful insights using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists as well as managers to collect requirements, understand needs, and convert into visualizations
• Converting raw data into compelling dashboards that enable efficient decision making
• Maintaining and updating existing dashboards as needed, and train on how best to interact with them
• Performing quality checks on visualizations for data accuracy
• Presenting monthly visualizations at large meetings

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science (or related field of study) and 3-5 years of related experience
• Must have experience and working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid
• Must have experience with Databricks and Snowflake
• Experience with Tableau and PowerBI
• Familiarity with SQL, understanding of data modeling, and experience working with large datasets
• Ability to create data visualizations to present complex analyses and to illustrate trends
• Familiarity with R or Python for data science
• Knowledge of best practices for dashboard design, including accessibility and usability standards
• Ability to obtain a Public trust and must have lived in the US for 3 of the past 5 years
• Strong working knowledge of R or Python for data science
• Strong working knowledge of best practices for dashboard design, including accessibility and usability standards
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members
• Be a self-starter with a natural curiosity to understand, simplify and explain complex data
