[Remote] Benefits Analyst

Remote role Full-time Open position

They are seeking a Benefits Analyst who will act as a subject matter expert in health care responsibilities, supporting the health care planning team in the design and management of health care plans, particularly for retirees.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the utilization and impact of wellness activities on plans and report related savings
  • Own day -to-day execution of assigned health & welfare initiatives and makes recommendations within established guidelines. Support ongoing benefits operations by reviewing, validating, and coordinating required administrative activities with internal partners and vendors
  • Serves as primary analyst support for assigned benefits carriers
  • Escalates complex issues and financial risks to Manager of Benefits as appropriate
  • Assist in the administration of annual open enrollment for health & welfare plans and any special projects
  • Compiles data and performs statistical analysis and interpretation to provide solutions and recommendations on health care practices and projects applicable to Benefits
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and shares recommendations with Manager
  • Ensures compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, Medicare, and state regulations
  • Successfully manages multiple competing deadlines in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Three to five years of benefits experience including retiree benefit administration and data analytics
  • Must demonstrate superior ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex medical and prescription drug coverage along with any regulations
  • Ability to deal comfortably and easily with people of different level education and experience
  • Must have ability to participate in a team effort to improve the health of the Pitney Bowes workforce and their covered family members
  • Must be able to effectively influence both internal and external team members and suppliers
  • Must possess exceptional management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, be detail oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize multiple projects
  • Expertise with Microsoft software applications including Excel, Powerpoint and Word, as well as Human Resources Information Systems required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Relations, or related field preferred
  • Masters degree in related field preferred
  • Residing in the Eastern and Central time zones
