[Remote] Director, Business Development - Central U.S.

They are seeking a Director of Business Development for the Central U.S. to leverage expertise in packaging and sales to build relationships and exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead growth by driving sales and increasing profitability through digitally produced graphic packaging solutions
- Manage key accounts while developing new business opportunities to drive strategic growth in the field
- Identify and capitalize on strategic sales opportunities by collaborating with Sales teams
- Work with Sales and locations to develop strategies that target specific end-user segments (e.g., E-Commerce)
- Build and nurture relationships with customers, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and successful project execution
- Prospect and acquire new business while maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients to achieve sales goals
- Coordinate RFQs and other requests associated with strategic accounts
- Drive sales of all products and services at profitable levels
- Understand and articulate the full range of products and services to customers
- Utilize CRM systems effectively and maintain accurate reports and documentation
- Foster key relationships in critical accounts, in collaboration with senior leadership
- Identify and execute strategies for key account retention and growth
- Support product and service education/training for the sales team
- Provide technical sales support and work with suppliers to meet client needs
- Develop and lead sales strategies to increase product sales and profitability across multiple categories and service platforms
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in sales with a strong background in packaging
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- Proven success in printing/packaging sales
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player
- Expertise in digital printing, sheet plant operations, or packaging distribution
- Proficiency with CRM systems and a track record of exceeding sales targets
- Experience in cold calling and prospecting new clients
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
