[Remote] Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Madison-Davis, LLC is a growing organization seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to enhance their security operations and governance initiatives. The role involves partnering with stakeholders to improve security controls, manage incidents, and maintain a robust security posture across a modern technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with technology teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities
- Support vulnerability management activities, including risk assessment, remediation tracking, and validation
- Participate in the investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents
- Assist with root cause analysis, incident documentation, evidence collection, and post-incident reviews
- Support security monitoring, operational security initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
- Conduct security assessments and risk evaluations for systems, applications, and technology initiatives
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and operational documentation
- Support governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across the organization
- Assist with internal and external audits through evidence collection, control validation, and stakeholder coordination
- Evaluate security controls related to identity management, access controls, monitoring, logging, encryption, and infrastructure security
- Support cloud security reviews and recommend risk reduction strategies
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements
- Contribute to security awareness, training, and communication initiatives
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support secure technology adoption and operational resilience
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, risk management, or related disciplines
- Hands-on experience supporting vulnerability management and remediation programs
- Experience participating in incident response investigations and security operations activities
- Strong understanding of industry security frameworks and best practices
- Experience supporting audits, compliance initiatives, and security assessments
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and modern technology environments
- Familiarity with identity management, endpoint security, network security, and security monitoring technologies
- Experience creating and maintaining security documentation, standards, and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with scripting, automation, or process improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in regulated industries
- Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GSEC, Security+, or similar
- Experience with cloud-native environments and modern security architectures
- Familiarity with application security, secure development practices, or security reviews
- Exposure to governance, risk, and compliance programs
- Experience implementing automation or AI-assisted operational workflows
- Knowledge of emerging security technologies and industry trends
