About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of new skincare and beauty product formulations, ensuring innovation and alignment with market trends. Conduct research on raw materials, new technologies, and competitor products. Collaborate with contract manufacturers to oversee pilot batches, scale-up production, and ensure product consistency. Work with the marketing and sales teams to understand consumer needs and translate them into product concepts. Prepare and present product development reports, formulations, and stability data. Ensure all product development activities comply with relevant cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, international standards). Source and evaluate new suppliers and raw materials. Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues. Develop and maintain product specifications and testing protocols. Stay current with scientific advancements and emerging ingredients in cosmetic chemistry.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cosmetic product development, with a strong focus on skincare. Extensive knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, and manufacturing processes. Proven ability to develop innovative and commercially successful products. Familiarity with global cosmetic regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting findings remotely. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting. Experience with common laboratory equipment and formulation software.
