Content Marketing Social Media Specialist

The Content Marketing - Social Media Specialist will develop engaging content for various social media platforms, collaborate with internal teams, and enhance audience engagement and measurable sales growth.

Responsibilities

Research and provide recommendations regarding best practices for content for our social channels Lead the planning, development, and execution of content for channels overseeing the following processes Develop initiatives to increase engagement rates, reach, and followers Development of creative briefs for designers and various content creators (internal and external) Pitching and presenting ideas and concepts to senior team members Building and maintaining an editorial calendar with team members Creating and organizing all social media assets Working in tandem with the media team to ensure content objectives align Create beneficial content not currently created by agencies or 3rd parties Leading collaboration sessions with internal partners and agencies Work closely in a cross-functional marketing department for the timely execution of all social media plans, including Creative, Media, PR, Merchandising and Retail Operations Manage moderation and collaborate with customer care and online sales to address social/blog comments, complaints, and inquiries Measure and report monthly on engagement and other content metrics Ensure online icons, bios and banners are up to date with the most relevant campaign promotion and brand information Regularly publish stories and ensure highlights are always updated Coordinate and attend events; both live streaming and preplanned; must be able to go to locations to create content as needed Support questions and enforce guidelines to store-level social media accounts Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrate good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff & management Strong problem-solving skills Effective negotiation and conflict management skills Outstanding writing and editing skills to create compelling copy that reflects the company's brand voice and encourages action Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once while respecting associated deadlines Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting 1-2 years creating and managing significant social communities is an asset Experience managing brand accounts across all major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest are all key) Experience using social media management software for managing content scheduling, handling interactions in real-time and measuring performance Social savvy and advanced understanding of the impact of social media, staying on top of current trends and understanding when it's applicable to the brand Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to create graphics to create engaging posts, edit and enhance posts, and create reels is a strongly desired asset Experience working with external content creators, influencers, designers, photographers and videographers Understand social media growth tactics per channel including best practices for community engagement Ability to provide recommendations for feed improvement and creating engaging stories when applicable without supervision or probing is a valued asset Interest to support the team in general content creation including content briefs, blog content, and photo or video assets outside of social is an added bonus Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, prescription drug and vision coverage for you and your family (Ensuring you and your family are taken care of) Employee Discount Program (Sharing our success) Employee Recognition Program (Tangible rewards for great work!)
