Summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is looking for a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Analytical team. The position is responsible for a variety of areas including SQL, Data Modeling, Data Visualization, and Data Warehousing. This role will support, develop, and enhance BI capabilities across all FMD business units. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable Snowflake data models and data pipelines to support enterprise analytics. Apply practical data quality techniques—including record counts, reconciliation checks, and anomaly detection—to validate accuracy, completeness, and reliability for downstream reporting. Leverage advanced SQL, DAX, and data modeling expertise to perform complex data analysis and optimize analytical data structures. Develop intuitive, high‑impact dashboards and visualizations in Power BI (or similar tools) that translate complex data into actionable business insights for stakeholders. Business Analysis skills translating business needs into technical solutions. Manage and execute BI projects to completion with internal stakeholders and external resources as required. Document BI project details with milestones, timelines, resources, and costs required. Provide user training and support to stakeholders. Implement, maintain, and improve business intelligence best practices. Act as a Business Intelligence educator, champion, and expert across FMD helping business users to better understand best practices to get value out of BI initiatives. Qualifications and Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics or a related field required. 5-10 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analysis, or in a related area, preferably in a manufacturing company. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (Oracle, Visual, or Jobscope ERP experience is a plus). Experience with business intelligence technologies such as Python, AI, and API services. Experience with government cloud environments is a plus. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Great interpersonal and communications skills This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
