[Remote] Business Development Manager

The role involves engaging with potential clients, qualifying opportunities, and collaborating with the sales team to transition leads while maintaining industry awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with AI-generated and outbound leads through email, phone, and digital channels
  • Develop creative outreach strategies to initiate conversations with prospective clients
  • Build initial relationships with key stakeholders across target industries
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, business challenges, and AI readiness
  • Qualify opportunities based on defined criteria (budget, timeline, fit, and decision-making process)
  • Document and manage lead progression through CRM tools
  • Successfully transition qualified opportunities to the sales team for closing
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure a smooth handoff and alignment on deal strategy
  • Maintain strong communication to support conversion and pipeline visibility
  • Develop a foundational understanding of AI adoption trends and use cases across industries
  • Stay informed on competitive offerings and positioning
  • Provide feedback to leadership on market insights and lead quality

Skills

  • Entry-level to mid-level experience in business development, sales development, or outbound prospecting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable in a performance-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage activity levels effectively
  • Strong interest in AI, technology, and emerging solutions
  • Experience in B2B sales, SaaS, or technology-driven environments
  • Exposure to outbound sales tools or CRM platforms
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company
