[Remote] I&E Business Development Manager

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is focused on high-impact energy and industrial service projects, emphasizing operational excellence, safety, and performance. The I&E Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating revenue for the Electrical Business Unit and supporting business development efforts across other units as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Find new opportunities for the Electrical Business Unit in the specified markets including but not limited to: Oil & Gas, Renewable Natural Gas, Data Centers, Solar and others as directed by the Director of Business Development
  • Build relationships with current and potential decision makers within each account
  • Develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote growth and customer satisfaction
  • Assist BD Team Members with Electrical sales efforts, including client calls and in-person meetings
  • Find creative ways to increase the market’s awareness of the Clients Energy Service’s Electrical Business Unit
  • Communicate with the Electrical Operations team to develop sales strategies for each individual project
  • Stay up to date with market trends and activity of competitors
  • Provide frequent updates regarding market conditions and trends to ensure competitive strategic and tactical pricing strategies
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network, build relationships and find new opportunities
  • Keep accounts, contacts and opportunities updated in the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Make cold calls to expand client base
  • Promote and prospect opportunities for all other Business Units
  • Attend bid walks on behalf of the Electrical Business Unit
  • Participate in and provide input for bid review meetings
  • Regularly visit job sites to maintain rapport with the crew team members and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills

  • 5-10+ years of experience in an outside sales role specifically to electrical construction services
  • Knowledge of how I&E work is bid, negotiated and awarded to target markets
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain I&E contracts and opportunities in the CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to hit targets and strategize for growth
  • Experience supporting field-based electrical services
