[Remote] Senior Full Stack Python/Django Engineer (Back End Focus)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Python/Django Engineer primarily focused on back-end development. The role involves leading cost reduction initiatives, optimizing telephony infrastructure, and enhancing AI voice model pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead cost reduction initiatives targeting AI platform spend and telephony vendor relationships
- Optimize phone number provisioning and usage spend with Bandwidth and Twilio
- Develop and maintain core back-end services including Python/Django frameworks
- Engineer and optimize VoIP push delivery via APNS PushKit and FCM
- Manage and enhance voicemail processing pipelines using AWS S3
- Collaborate on handling OpenAI real-time voice models for voice-to-model and model-to-voice functionalities, balancing performance and cost
Skills
- 6+ Month W2 Contract (No C2C/No Visa Sponsorship or Student Sponsorship)
- Full stack development expertise with a primary focus on back-end systems
- Hands-on experience with Bandwidth or comparable telephony vendors such as Twilio
- Proven ability to identify, engineer, and implement solutions that reduce vendor and operational costs
- Strong background in Python and Django, specifically in backend-core projects (privybox, number, agent modules)
- Practical experience with VoIP push notifications through APNS PushKit and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
- Knowledge and management of voicemail pipelines using AWS S3
- Familiarity with OpenAI's real-time voice models (voice-to-model, model-to-voice), including cost-performance considerations, is a significant plus
