[Remote] Packaging Business Development Manager (SW Region)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Allegiance Search is a well-established rigid packaging company seeking a Business Development Manager for the Southwest region. This role involves driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market presence through effective sales strategies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on expanding market share and generating new business
  • Prospect and develop opportunities through outreach, referrals, networking, and industry engagement
  • Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle using a consultative, value-driven sales approach
  • Build and present customer solutions aligned with business needs and operational capabilities
  • Establish long-term customer relationships that support sustainable growth and account expansion
  • Partner closely with marketing, operations, customer service, and supply chain teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Support onboarding, implementation, and ongoing account success initiatives
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive dynamics across the assigned region
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and customer data within CRM systems
  • Provide market feedback and business insights to support commercial strategy and planning

Skills

  • MUST BE BASED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, PHOENIX, OR LAS VEGAS AREA
  • Proven experience in business development, territory sales, account management, or consultative B2B sales
  • Packaging industry experience required, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments
  • Strong business development, prospecting, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Comfortable navigating complex sales environments and longer sales cycles
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with rigid packaging solutions is strongly preferred
  • Background supporting one or more of the following industries is preferred: Food & Beverage, Healthcare, Cosmetics, Household Chemicals, Industrial, Personal Care
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
