Role Description: We are on the lookout for an exceptional Computer Vision Expert, specifically targeting PhD candidates or alumni from Stanford, Columbia, MIT, or other prestigious US universities with a strong focus on computer vision and AI. This role is crucial for leading the development of advanced AI models for autonomous checkout systems and other retail technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, and have a track record of applying these skills to create impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and perfect advanced computer vision algorithms to power our autonomous checkout and AI-driven retail solutions. • Work collaboratively with our team of experts, drawing on insights from world-class advisers, to push the boundaries of AI in retail. • Stay at the forefront of AI and computer vision research, incorporating the latest findings and techniques into our solutions. • Foster relationships with the academic and professional community to ensure our technology remains cutting-edge. Qualifications: • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, specializing in computer vision, machine learning, or deep learning. We also welcome candidates currently pursuing a PhD or those with significant research experience in these domains. • Demonstrated expertise in computer vision and AI, evidenced by publications, projects, or professional work. • Skilled in programming (e.g., Python) and familiar with AI development tools and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.). • Creative problem-solver with the ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions. • Strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced startup environment.
