[Remote] National Director, Consultant Relations Job Details | Lincoln Financial

They are seeking a National Director, Consultant Relations to serve as the primary liaison to strategic advisor and consultant firms, responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve sales and retention goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) products, services and operational structure to enhance ability to identify and target sales growth opportunities
- Develop business on behalf of the LFG in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets, or objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to propose placement of additional Lincoln products in existing client book of business
- Proactive outreach to potential customers from internal leads or generated by marketing activity
- Serve as a resource to internal and external parties while developing and maintaining collaborative relationships to achieve sales objectives
- Capture and maintain sales call data in appropriate systems and/or completes sales reports
- Develop a multifaceted understanding of the advisor firms you cover and alignment with Lincoln’s value proposition to achieve sales and retention goals
- Support growth in all segments of Lincoln's products/service offerings to maximize and capitalize on the opportunities to grow Lincoln’s scope of business with the firms you cover
- Ensure any potential conflicts regarding Lincoln's products/services are resolved
- Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
Skills
- 5 -7+ Years' of relevant experience in consultant relations or national account management within retirement plans, aligned with the responsibilities of the role
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Demonstrates advanced relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues) and external clients; proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
- FINRA S6, S63 and LH & VA licenses obtained within 90 days of hire
- Ability to travel domestically, up to 50%
