[Remote] Project Manager / Business Analyst (Investment Technology)

Trajectory Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager and Business Analyst to support the Total Fund and Capital Markets Platform for a Large Public Pension Investment Office. This versatile role involves project execution, business analysis, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful alignment across multiple workstreams and project plans.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches to ensure successful execution
  • Engage with subject matter experts to document complex investment business processes and conduct gap analysis to inform solution design
  • Proactively monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies while providing regular updates
  • Prepare, manage, and update project documentation, including project charters and artifacts
  • Coordinate and conduct testing using various tools while documenting investment systems and reporting workflows
  • Lead effective engagement efforts and partner with business leads to drive organizational change
  • Regularly assess resource utilization, monitor burn rates, and adjust plans as needed to address capacity concerns
  • Prepare and deliver concise progress updates and executive summaries using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Jira
  • Provide training to technology platform owners and end users to foster self-sufficiency

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale, complex projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
  • Proven track record of successful execution within investment management or financial technology environments
  • 5+ years of experience working on business requirements and implementation of portfolio management, order management, execution/trading, treasury, or accounting systems
  • 5+ years of experience working on large portfolio management, order management, risk, or trading data integration projects
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, implementation partners, and external vendors
  • 5+ years of experience preparing executive summaries and project health transparency using Tableau, Power BI, or Jira
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with experience influencing and aligning diverse audiences
  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or Change Management certifications (e.g., Prosci, CCMP)
  • CFA or CAIA designation
  • Experience with Aladdin, CRIMS, SimCorp, or MSCI Barra One
  • Expertise in asset allocation, investment risk, performance measurement, or treasury management
  • Experience working with government agencies or on public sector enterprise modernization initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred)
