[Remote] Senior Backend Developer, Banking Core
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank that is transforming personal finance. They are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to lead the development and testing of banking core systems, shape technical architecture, and support the growth of the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and testing of our banking core systems and services
- Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product and core banking migration
- Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment
- Support the technical culture, and help grow the team
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers
Skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or related quantitative field
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
- (1) Profile scripting language (PSL)
- (2) Hierarchical databases-GT.M/MUMPS
- (3) Core banking system development (FIS Profile)
- (4) Linux/UNIX Application environment
- (5) Data migration and system upgrades
- (6) Banking & Financial services Domain Knowledge
- (7) US Banking Domain Knowledge
- (8) Requirements Analysis and Functional Documentation
- (9) System Integration using Service-Oriented Architecture
- (10) Project Ownership & delivery
