[Remote] National Sales Manager

The National Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing strategic sales initiatives, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze business trends, competitor landscapes, and industry opportunities to understand client needs and deliver targeted solutions
  • Stay informed on sustainability best practices, environmental regulations, and industry trends to provide clients with eco-friendly and compliant solutions
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Quest’s solutions, values, and processes to effectively position our offerings in the market
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Utilize consultative sales techniques to assess client needs and align Quest’s solutions to business challenges
  • Develop and implement account strategies for long-term client success
  • Develop proposals tailored to client needs and business goals
  • Address client pain points related to waste management inefficiencies, vendor management complexities, and sustainability challenges
  • Close new business opportunities through a strategic sales approach that highlights Quest’s unique advantages in vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and landfill diversion
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Client Services, Vendor Relations, Accounting, etc.) to ensure seamless client onboarding and implementation
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Track sales activities, progress, and performance metrics using Monday.com CRM
  • Provide regular reports on sales pipeline, prospect engagement, and revenue forecasts
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement to optimize sales strategies
  • Represent Quest at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and outreach initiatives
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with business goals
  • Contribute to team training, mentorship, and best practice sharing
  • This position requires at least 50% travel for client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities

Skills

  • 6-10 years of proven B2B sales experience in Fortune 1000 companies
  • Strong consultative sales skills with a track record of closing large regional or national accounts
  • Passionate about building relationships, connecting with clients, and creating meaningful business opportunities
  • Exceptional presentation skills, active listening abilities, and the ability to communicate value effectively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Monday.com CRM
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to industry changes
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of the Grocery, Food Distribution, Retail, Manufacturing, or Hospitality industries is strongly preferred
  • Experience selling environmental services and sustainability solutions within these industries is a plus
