[Remote] Senior Product Manager - Access Control

They are seeking a customer-driven Senior Product Manager to lead their access control offerings, focusing on product functionality that empowers customers to manage data access and align product strategy with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver on a roadmap that balances the needs of customers and internal teams with clear prioritization based on data driven customer insights
• Collaborate with teams globally across multiple time zones and operate in an Agile development environment
• Deeply empathize with and understand Starburst personas
• Own cross-functional interactions for your features
• Collect and summarize usage data/dashboards for decision making and OKR tracking

Skills

• 5+ years experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager
• Experience managing Lakehouse product offerings and their ecosystems (e.g. catalogs, permissions, metadata)
• Proven ability to operate in a highly technical product area where trade-off choices consider engine performance and span multiple product areas
• Deep understanding of the technical landscape and markets preferred (well versed in databases, data warehousing, data lakes, and familiarity with many of the data infrastructure products in industry)
• Entrepreneurial and self motivated personality with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving environments
• Ability to Travel: This role will require 25% in-person travel for purposes including but not limited to new hire onboarding, team and department offsites, customer engagements, and other company events
• Experience with query engines (e.g., Trino/Spark) or data virtualization, and how connectors impact performance, governance, and reliability is a plus
• Track record working with or around open-source communities is a plus
