[Remote] Merchant Account Executive

Remote role Full-time Open position

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Payline Data is a modern payments platform that supports over 20,000 businesses across the United States. They are seeking a Merchant Account Executive to generate new merchant processing revenue through inbound lead management and outbound business development, while collaborating with various internal teams to ensure a seamless merchant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and convert inbound merchant leads generated through marketing, partnerships, and referrals
  • Prospect and develop new merchant opportunities through outbound outreach
  • Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments with prospective merchants
  • Present payment processing, POS, eCommerce, and value-added solutions
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline
  • Prepare proposals and pricing recommendations
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through activation
  • Collaborate with underwriting, onboarding, and support teams to ensure successful implementations
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting information in CRM
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and activation targets

Skills

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in payments, financial services, SaaS, or related technology solutions
  • Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and closing new business
  • Ability to conduct effective discovery conversations, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and negotiate pricing and contract terms
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage opportunities, forecast revenue, and track performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical payment concepts in clear, business-friendly language
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships and provide exceptional customer experiences
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across sales, operations, support, and product teams
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
