They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering I to design mechanical systems and components for nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and providing technical oversight to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind tooling
  • Assembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product
  • Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Help operate the final tooling system in the customer facilities
  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team
  • Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and/or components against applicable codes & standards
  • Prepare clear and concise design reports and technical specifications

Skills

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 0 to 2 minimum years of relevant experience, recent new graduates without experience will be considered
