Service Desk IT Technician Level 1

Remote role Full-time Open position

Hampshire County Council provides high quality public services to over a million customers and is seeking a Service Desk IT Technician Level 1 to join their frontline support team. The successful candidate will provide initial IT support, liaising with users and working on chatbot development and knowledge creation.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the initial support to our userbase for their IT problems
  • Liaises with users via webchat, online form and telephone with a strong customer service focus
  • Works on other workstreams such as Chatbots, Knowledge creation and Microsoft Power apps

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of IT including experience using Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a varied range of tasks
  • Willingness to learn and build proficiency across a variety of new and evolving systems/platforms
